Endowment Opportunities
Permanent endowments provide dependable, long-term income for scholarships, academic positions or programs at UTEP. They often afford donors with opportunities to name a scholarship in honor of a loved one or friend in recognition of a milestone, special birthday, anniversary, retirement, or celebration.
A donor may establish an endowment with an initial donation of 20% of the donor’s total proposed funding and a pledge for the payment of the balance within five years. All funds that would otherwise be distributable from the endowment will be reinvested as a permanent addition to principal until the endowment is fully funded.
Endowment funds are invested in the Long Term Fund and managed by the University of Texas Investment Management Co. (UTIMCO), the investment management arm of the U.T. System. Visit the UTIMCO website to learn more about the fund management system.
