DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AND gOLD NUGGET Awards

The University of Texas at El Paso and the UTEP Alumni Association, along with the UTEP colleges and schools, have recognized exceptional graduates who have distinguished themselves in their professions and lives by giving back to their communities and alma mater, and who serve as an inspiration for future generations of Miners. These individuals stand out as examples of dedication, integrity, and hard work. They are the finest among us; they are the Distinguished Alumni and the Gold Nugget Award Recipients.

The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honor that can be bestowed on an exceptional alumna/us by the UTEP Alumni Association and the University. In comparison, the Gold Nugget Alumni Awards are presented by the UTEP Alumni Association in partnership with each of the University colleges and schools. The Gold Nugget Award is the highest honor that these academic programs can bestow on an exceptional alumna/us.

TOP TEN SENIORS AWARD

The Top Ten Seniors Awards are presented annually by the UTEP Alumni Association to UTEP’s most promising future alumni.  Graduating or recently-graduated seniors are evaluated on a combination of academic achievement, involvement, leadership and service both in the community and on-campus, as well as the impression they have made on others during their time at UTEP.  This award reflects the true spirit of what it means to be both an outstanding student and a proud Miner.
